Some may think that multiples are just a bunch of images plopped on top of each other. So sorry to disappoint you but there’s an art to it. Layering images in a way that pulls your viewer in and keeps them coming back for more is the equivalent to your great grandmother’s watergate cake. You know, the one with the pudding packet mixed in. It’s weird but oh so addictive.
You know what is better than one? Two. That’s what. Multiples are the best things to happen to photography in what feels like forever and you will feel this way too when you learn how to bring this in-camera process to your own photography.
Multiples come in all types, some are busy but most often the successful multiples are ones where you can never tell that there are two images layered together. There is no end and no beginning, just depth, atmosphere, interest, and hot fire. What is hot fire? You’ll get to find that out in June.
We get asked all the time what gear we recommend, so we took it upon ourselves to help you out and make a handy dandy list of EVERYTHING we’ve got and love. From what’s in our bag, to our tripod recommendations, to our lighting equipment and everything in between. You never know, we just might help you justify that next purchase. And because we both love gear so much, we’re ok with that.
